The Limassol Coastal Park flooded with the smiles of hundreds of children on Saturday, the 18th of March 2023. More than five hundred children had the chance to enjoy the act of participation via Dashin’s Foundation Youth Race in the largest sports event in Cyprus – the OPAP Limassol Marathon.
Our young runners participated in two races: an 800 metres race for children of six to eight years of age and a one-thousand two hundred metres race for children nine to eleven years of age.
Despite unfavorable weather conditions and the rain, the young runners showed up and enjoyed a beautiful experience along the coast of Limassol.
The founder of the Foundation, Ms. Julia Dashina, and the First Lady, Ms. Filippa Karsera, gave the starting shots.
Ms. Julia Dashina emphasized that “this is the sixth consecutive year that the Dashin Foundation sponsors the Youth Race of the OPAP Limassol Marathon. We feel more connected with the event and the unique experience it provides to our young runners every time. They share experiences through running together and gain more strength - physical and mental.” She added that “we are all thrilled with the fact that we can enjoy this race in this beautiful setting along the sea!”.
All Dashin’s Foundation Youth Race participants received an exclusive race goodie bag, t-shirt, bib number and medal. Participation was free, with the compliments of Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation.
