Established a decade ago by a group of parents and doctors, the mission of the Monadika Xamogela center was to create awareness about rare diseases and the challenges they posed. Their goal was to establish a multidisciplinary center where all therapies could be provided under one roof, facilitating daily meetings for the multidisciplinary team to address arising issues.
In 2021, the www.monadikacenter.com.cy was successfully launched, providing assistance not only to children with rare diseases but also to those with other neurological delays.
With the generous support of OPAP, VASILLIKO CEMENT, and other private donors, the center was equipped with the latest technology and currently serves more than 90 children, offering psychological support to their families.
Through the "Adopt a Rare" program, the center endeavors to meet the needs of children not covered by the government by matching private donors or fundraising to cover the costs of therapies.
